SEAN  MEAD
Liberty Middle School Head Coach

Sean grew up in St. Louis, MO and graduated from Hazelwood Central High School.  He was 4-year letterman, a 3-time state qualifier, taking 6th place in 2004 and finishing with a career record of 123-31.

He went on to wrestle at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville where he started as a true freshman.  Unfortunately, an injury would cut his competitive career short.

Coach Mead spent some time away from wrestling while finishing school and starting a career but was called back by the wrestling gods when he became involved with the Quest Wrestling Club.  Eventually that led to a position with EWC and a career change and the rest is history.

This is Sean's fifth year with EWC.  He served as head coach at Lincoln Middle School for the '15-'16 and '16-'17 seasons before stepping down to an assistant role in '17-'18.

Coach Mead lives in Edwardsville with his wife, Brittany.  He is excited to be back in the district full time and begin a new chapter at Liberty, where he also teaches computers.
